Last weekend was a blur. Can't believe I am just now getting around to writing about it. First, Friday night, we took Heather and Jared to the airport. They are off to London for spring break. Saturday, Sally had to work at "House Days" at Bayou Bend. Since I couldn't go to Brenham I took a bee keeping class. Way cool! Sally and I are going to become bee keepers. Outside of being fun and just plain cool, it should be good for the garden. I was so pleased with the class that I went right out and ordered our bees. We are getting a 3# kit with marked buckfast queen. The Buckfast bees were recommneded to us by Donald Burger. he is the guy that taught the class. Buckfast bees are suppossedly the most "gentlemanly" of the bees. They don't get too aggressive and they make a nice amount of honey. Plus, the were developed by a monk. You know I like that. Random thought. Monks have given us good bees (Buckfast), good wine (Dom Perignon) and genetics. Way to go Catholics!!!!

oh my godness oh my godness! when are the bees coming??? I want to help!!!! Love you! ps, I think that is the cutest pic of Sally ever!
