April 11, 2009 - We left the home of the mother moose at 6:00 am. We were in search of big redfish and other aquatic lifeforms. Evidently Chris, Moose and Cameron were feeling nervous. They began drinking liquid courage at 6 a.m! We meet Clyde at Buc-ees and we headed out for a date with destiny (and Redfish Raymond).
Clyde had not warned us that Redfish Raymond was a Baptist. Evidently he was offended with alcohol being consumed on his boat. Needless to say, things got off to a little bit of a rocky start! No one wants to pay that much money to have a good time and have the Captain start yelling at you the instant you get on the boat. The bad karma set the tone for the rest of the day. We did not catch much. I caught 1 keeper red and so did Raymond. Everyone caught something but not much stayed in the cooler. We stayed out until 3:30. We were wiped! We were suppossed to go hear a Beattles and Eagles tribute band but were too tired. We came home and meet up with our women (and Heather too) and ate pizza on the porch.
Sunday was a busy day as well. We loaded up a trailer full of furniture for Jessie and Cameron. After they left Chris cooked our sausage, chicken and the redfish on the grill. It was all good, but the fish was the best I have ever had! All in all it was a great weekend.
