Well, we are officially in the HOLIDAY SEASON! Went to Hubbard and had Thanksgiving lunch with Meg's in-laws and the Maynards. This was the first year that Mary Davis was not with us. I guess the big thing on this day was Heather buying a gun! I am so happy for her. She bought a lovely little single shot 410 shotgun. An excellent anti personell and snake weapon. Friday found us at Homestead Heritage. While it was fun to have all of the kids together, it was just too big and too commercial. I really don't think that we will do it again. Makes me sad. It really was a good tradition. After Homestead Heritage we celebrated my B-Day. Lot's of books. Thanks everyone. After my B-Day, we headed back to Brenham. Jessie and Josh joined us for the weekend. Saturday Lydia Dill Steel and her family came for the day. After they left we went to mass and then school. Jessie and I helped Sal do her door. Sunday brought us a visit from Heather and Jared and their kids. We had a lovely lunch. We ate out of the garden all weekend. All in all, it was a good break.
